Introductory meeting Micro class test flight

Earlier this week, we started off the Fall semester with our introductory meeting for new members of the club! 🥳 🛫 After meeting everyone at the STEM Complex and going over the basics of our current projects, we did a flight test of a prototype for the Micro category plane. … don’t ask about what happened on the last flight attempt. 🛬

Recruitment for the new semester

We setup a small table where we could show new-coming uOttawa Engineering students what uOAeronautics is all about. To try and pique the interest of these students, we brought our most interesting (and intact) aircraft, explaining what makes each one special and interesting to us from an engineering perspective. More Flight tests

🛫 We completed another flight test this weekend! 🛬 We flew the FT Sea Duck to gather flight data that’ll help with the development of the micro plane as the airframe is in a direction that we want to be moving in. Photo Gallery

First flight test after comp

After attending the 2025 SAE Aero Design East competition, it was clear that frequent testing is paramount for our success. That’s why we started off the season with a simple flight test at Stetson Flyers lovely airfield, where we were able to see what the place was like and get a few flights in with our Aero Scout training aircraft, as well as our test quadcopter.
